Providing financial assistance to the next of kin of Colorado fallen officers
The Fallen Officer Fund of Colorado is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which offers financial assistance to the next of kin of any fallen officer acting in the line of duty in the State of Colorado. All proceeds raised stay in Colorado and benefit those in our community who are affected by these tragic and untimely losses.
About Jeremy Bitner
Detective Jeremy Bitner lost his life in the line of duty on May 28, 2012, after being struck and killed by a vehicle while performing a traffic stop. Detective Bitner served the Englewood Police Department for 8 years and during that time was assigned to patrol, was a SWAT team member, and a Field Training Officer.
Detective Bitner loved being a police officer and serving his community. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend to many.
Proceeds raised from the annual Jeremy Bitner Memorial 5K/10K Walk and Run benefit the Fallen Officer Fund of Colorado to assist the families of fallen law enforcement officers in Colorado.
